He reminded Ugandans of the political history where transitions have been a vicious cycle of violence and asked all voters to ensure that a peaceful transition takes place in the coming election.

He called upon the people of Ankole to take an active role in changing the government to facilitate an inclusive Uganda that is united in collective values and dignity for all people regardless of thier family name and your background.

He affirmed that the ANT government shall strengthen institutions, prosecute corrupt public servants and recovery of money and property lost through corruption.

He noted the rise in inequality among Ugandans where the majority of the population struggle due to poor service delivery, poor remunerations of workers.

These challenges can be seen in the rising number of brain drain in the health sector. He avowed that the ANT government will improve remunerations in the public sector.

Furthermore, Mugisha Muntu reiterated that the promotion of agriculture is the pathway to its eradication. The sector employs over 80% of the population, yet, after many decades remains subsistence with farmers at the mercy of middlemen. He called for the need for investment for value addition on all agricultural products in the country.

Mugisha Muntu confirmed to the residents of Ntungamo, that if trusted with their vote in the upcoming election, he will increase the agriculture budget to 10% in line of the Maputo declaration of 2003. He will also revive farmers’ cooperatives, which collapsed at the hands of the current government and ultimately improve farmers bargaining power as well as value chain management.
