MUGISHA MUNTU: We will invest in Institutional building

Tuesday 24th November 2020, Presidential candidate Mugisha Muntu visited in Kyenjojo and Kyegegwa. He was accompanied by the Head of Women League, Amb. Edith Grace Sempala, Head of Youth League, Abubakar Matanda, other leaders and flag bearers of ANT in the area.

Mugisha Muntu told the people of Kyenjojo and Kyegegwa that ANT is a party built based on values and its main intention is to transform the political culture of this country for better. He added that the ANT party will be a demonstration for other political organizations to draw reference on how best to practice politics from now onwards.

Mugisha Muntu said that this is the time for breaking the vicious cycle of political deception that has characterized the politics of this nation since 1962. “Right from the time of independence, every leader who comes, promises heaven and earth but does the opposite. For the case of Amin, he never even pretended, it was a military government all through, and this has led to frustration among Ugandans. They have reached a level of giving up on politicians.” Muntu said.

He urged the people saying that there is still hope and that we still have good Ugandans with values who can lead a transformation agenda. He gave the example of the private sector where companies like banks and telecommunication companies have succeeded in business, yet they are the same people working in both private and public offices. “What brings about the discrepancy between private and public sector in terms of service delivery is nothing but negligence on the side of the government,” asserted the Presidential Candidate.

Mugisha Muntu attributed failures of governance on the collapse of institutions, which has made it impossible for service delivery to reach the final consumers. He assured the people of Kyegegwa and Kyenjojo that the next ANT government will heavily invest in institutional re-building which will ultimately solve the puzzle of bad governance that has characterized our country for the last fifty eight years.

During these two rallies, the Head of the ANT Women’s League, Amb. Edith Grace Sempala also spoke to the people of Kyenjojo and Kyegegwa and urged them to vote for Mugisha Muntu as President of Uganda, based his integrity and exceptional character, which have been proven over time. Ms Sempala added that if Ugandans need to end the politics of deception and syndicate, in our Uganda, Mugisha Muntu is the answer.

While on this campaign trail, the Head of the Youth League, Counsel Abubakar Matanda, also spoke to the people of Kyenjojo and Kyegegwa saying that the next ANT government will revive the current ailing education system by revisiting the curriculum and revise it to match the current job market trends. He also said the next ANT government will improve school facilities and lower the student-teacher ratio from primary school level to secondary school level. Counsel Matanda said, “You cannot transform the lives of the youth minus addressing the education question. The ANT government will prioritize education by ensuring that all its components are fully functional.”

Mugisha Muntu concluded the Kyenjojo and Kyegegwa canvassing by urging Ugandans to trust ANT with leadership of the country to experience the most qualitative change that will transform our Uganda for better.
