On 9th November 2020, Presidential Candidate Mugisha Muntu Gregg along with the campaign task force team that is led by Hon. Winnie Kiiza started the campaign trail in Makindye, Rubaga, Kampala. Mugisha Muntu was received by ANT regional coordinators, ANT candidates for elective positions and members.
Mugisha Muntu Gregg expressed gratitude to all the ANT members who continue to be resilient to hardships of living in bad governance that is accelerated by COVID-19. He appealed to the people of Uganda not to love him but to trust him. To trust him based on his 40 years of work experience in governance and management of the society and the merits of his work.
Presidential Candidate Mugisha Muntu Gregg commanded the 4th division in Lira and found a system where money was kept under the commander's bed. Here, he established systems based on professionalising the Ugandan Army. On this bedrock of his experience, He affirmed that his government will establish strong institutions, the foundation on which all services can be delivered with zero corruption, transparency and accountability. He is capable and ready to deliver a transformative agenda for our country.
He urged Ugandans to be responsible and invest in the type of country and government desired for the country. Removing YK. Museveni is not an end in itself, but a continuous journey for our country to face the challenges at hand. Ugandan voters are tasked to choose the presidential candidate that is suitable to advance the country to the 21st century with an ideal and inspirational democracy for the world.
Mugisha Muntu Gregg lighted a few challenges in our country, for example, maternal health care where mothers require from 500,000 ug and above, which is unfair because normal Ugandan families can’t afford these charges. The dire situation and consistency of poor sanitation and hygiene, the growing urban settlements, all require immediate action. Ugandans need to vote for the type of leadership and discipline that is needed to get the job done. Uganda has a fast-growing population. Mugisha Muntu Gregg’s government will leverage the high population towards a robust and sustainable economic development for the country and all the people.
He affirmed that the Alliance for National Transformation government, which he represents, is ready and capable to invest in human capital in our country. To activate a population that work, invest and save. A government that makes sure that our ageing population doesn't over-dependence on governments and their families.
